Whale Shark Tour

• For everybody who want to swim with the Whale Sharks

• Not for pregnant women

• The minimum age is 5 years old. Kids need to be good swimmers.

• Great for a family day out or simply to get away from the busier Riviera Maya for something more off the beaten track.

• Please note there is a travel time of 2.5 hours from Tulum to Punta Sam

• This tour involves a lot of time spent on a boat and the time spent looking for the whale shark can extend to 1h30. The experience is spectacular but is not recommended for people who are sensitive to sea sickness. Please bring Dramamine with you as we are not allowed to provide medication to our clients.

We recommend to bring :

• Comfortable clothes and shoes (sandals ok)

• Bathing suit & Towel

• Sun glasses & Hat

• Camera with waterproof protection

• Some cash

The area is protected and the captains won't let you put sunscreen on. We hope you can understand and bring clothes to protect you from the sun.

The price of the Whale Shark tour does not include pick up/drop off.

When following the booking process, you will see the price of pick up/drop off depending on different zones in the Riviera Maya.

PICK UP :

Pick up in Tulum or nearby will be between 4:30-5:30 AM

Pick up in Playa Del Carmen or nearby will be between 5:30-6:30 AM

Pick up in Cancun or nearby will be between 6:30-7:30 AM

DROP OFF :

Drop off in Cancun or nearby will be between 3-4 PM

Drop off in Playa Del Carmen or nearby will be between 4-5 PM

Drop off in Tulum or nearby will be between 5-6 PM

You will be maximum 10 people in the boat.

It not mandatory but is customary to tip guides and field teams as a thank you for excellent service.

Yes, this tour is weather dependent. In the event of a major event or severe weather, we will contact you.

This tour requires a minimum of 6 people to run the tour. If we do not hit this minimum, we reserve the right to cancel the tour, in which case we will contact you to offer an alternative date, tour, or send a refund.

Credit card payments have a fee up to 7% depending on Credit Cards.

Our prices are in USD.

• In case of cancellation more than 24 hrs before the pickup, we do not charge you any cost and will give you back your payment.

• In case of cancellation less than 24 hrs before the pick up or in case of no show we will charge you 100% of the total amount of your tour. Please understand that we have to pay all our providers and staff although you do not come.

Please be aware that your confirmation voucher from the booking platform will provide you an automatic and approximate start time which is not the exact pick up time. Your real pick up time will depend on your hotel/villa location and logistic of the day. It will be communicated to you via a personalized email and is subject to changes until 9pm before the day of your tour.
