Stroll through the charming streets of Oaxaca, absorb the unique landscape as we visit the cultural highlights of the city decked out in flowers, the avenues & archways adorned with colorful offerings. As the go to spot for traditional arts, crafts & gastronomy in the country, Oaxaca comes alive like no other place on the Dia de Muertos, the streets filled with people, businesses putting on special events and decorations spreading out in every direction, creating a wonderful atmosphere and an exceptional celebration of life.
We will walk into the living history and customs of the city and its inhabitants, pass by the famous Santo Domingo Plaza, where you will find the church & ex-convent beautifully decked out for the occasion. The procession of people will lead us on to the cemetery (Only on the 31st of October, 1st and 2nd) where a feast for the eyes and the senses is guaranteed. Thousands of offerings and Altars transform this place of rest into one of joy, celebrating the life of the deceased in the belief that on this day our loved ones return for a visit, while the living celebrate by hosting a fiesta in their honor.
We finish the evening with a delicious dinner in an exclusive setting.
