MULTI-DAY TRIPS

Yucatán Peninsula & Caribbean

Ecotourism Adventure connecting with

Nature, Mayan History, Culture & Gastronomy

On this 7-day itinerary, you will discover Yucatán’s most iconic archaeological sites, sample gastronomic delights and explore the secrets of the cenotes; enjoy the hospitality of Mayan communities & the colonial charm of Valladolid, sail the mesmeric waters of Bacalar lagoon and chill by the Caribbean sea in eclectic Tulum. Combined with exciting activities and eye-opening adventures, this is an active travel exploration of the Yucatán Peninsula.

The Yucatán Peninsula is a fascinating region of Mexico, filled with the culture & cuisine of modern Mexico and the vestiges of the ancient Maya civilization. This trip begins in the heart of the region, where you will visit amazing temples at Chichen Itza, relax in the charming colonial city of Valladolid and explore surrounding villages to meet the locals & learn about history and contemporary Mayan culture, sample exquisite delicacies prepared with traditional recipes,  while stopping off to refresh in magical, community-run cenotes.

We then move on to Bacalar, an idyllic village lying on the edge of a mesmerizing lagoon where you can relax, kayak, sail, paddleboard or just swing in the hammock. Although not part of the Caribbean Sea, the lagoon has an amazing variety of color and tones that make it impossible to describe in words - you have to see it, or better yet, swim & sail it. We will be located in a secluded part of the lagoon where you can make the most of the peace & tranquility.

The final stage of our trip is based in Tulum, an eclectic town that thrives on a very modern economy of travel, gastronomy, art and a busy social scene. Tulum has a fabulous stretch of beach lined with funky hotels and restaurants, at one end the must-see Tulum ruins and the other bordered by the astounding Sian Kaan Biosphere reserve. You will visit both of these monuments as well as a local cenote and enjoy a bike tour of the town. Plus plenty of time to relax on the beach, eat, drink, dance & shop!
